You may have noticed there are some missing letters from our logo, along with multiple famous landmarks and companies all over the world dropping the letters A, B and O.

These are, of course, the letters that represent blood groups. This is all in support of the NHS Blood and Transplant #Missing Type campaign to highlight the global importance of blood donation.

The campaign aims to:

reverse a trend in the decline of new blood donors over the last decade contribute to the 204,000 people we need to attend a donation session for the first time to give blood in

EWI Contributes to Nottingham’s Early Climate Change Achievements

According to Government Data, Nottingham has surpassed its climate change targets four years early in a fight to reduce the cities carbon emissions.

Nottingham has achieved a 33% reduction in the city’s carbon emissions since 2005 due to energy saving measures such as external wall insulation.

Wetherby Building Systems Ltd are pleased to have contributed to the reduction by supplying multiple large schemes with External Wall Insulation systems, providing significant energy efficiency improvements to private and social properties.

ECO CONSULTATION: A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

The publication, this week, of the ECO consultation for the 12 month transition period 2017 – 2018 should go some way to quashing the uncertainty that has been surrounding the solid wall insulation (SWI) supply chain, but there is still much more to be done.

EWI_Training_Course

Denbighshire County Council has recently partnered with Wetherby Building Systems and Willmott Dixon’s Energy Services in order to deliver a training course to unemployed individuals through their community benefit project IN2 Construction.

As part of this project Wetherby has successfully delivered a ‘Level 1 External Wall Insulation Boarding Applicator Course’ for jobseekers in a bid to enhance their prospects of gaining work on the energy efficiency programmes throughout North Wales.

Government Sets Ambitious Carbon Emissions Reduction Target

DECC has this morning announced that the Government is accepting the recommendation of the Committee on Climate Change and setting a target to reduce carbon emissions.

Amber Rudd accepted the advice of the government’s statutory climate advisers, setting a target on Thursday of reducing carbon emissions 57% by 2030 on 1990 levels.

The legally binding “fifth carbon budget” laid in parliament today is tougher than the carbon emissions target the UK is signed up to as part of the European Union, which requires a 40% cut by 2030 on 1990 levels. However, this

Dorlonco Refurb in High Wycombe

Red Kite Community Housing has recently embarked on a programme to upgrade its housing stock of non-traditional properties in Bank Street, High Wycombe. This programme was set to deliver external wall insulation to 35 Dorlonco properties with the help of Wetherby’s EpsiTherm Insulation and EpsiBrick-7 Brick Slip System.

Non-traditional Dorlonco properties originate from the 1920’s and were considered to be the most successful of their time.
